Genevieve Jordan Laskey is the founder and principal of Live Your Mission Consulting. She is a strategy, team, and leadership development consultant specializing in work with faith-based and mission driven communities. She takes the approach of facilitator and coach in her work with leaders and organizations.
Genevieve originally founded Live Your Mission Consulting as GJL Strategies LLC after feeling called to start her own business that blended her backgrounds of organization development and leadership and pastoral ministry. Genevieve has worked with and for Catholic non-profits and ministries for her entire career. Since founding her own business she worked extensively with both small and large national, Catholic non-profits and men and women’s religious communities.
Prior to founding Live Your Mission Consulting, Genevieve worked for ten years at Catholic Relief Services, the official international humanitarian agency of the US Catholic Bishops. This included serving five years as strategy advisor, facilitating sessions and processes with leaders and teams in planning and team development. She also previously served as executive director of a small, Catholic non-profit in Camden, NJ. Genevieve was also formed by a year of international service with Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity in a home for young people with developmental disabilities in Spitak, Armenia.
Genevieve helped conceive and develop CST 101, a seven-part video series on Catholic social teaching produced by Catholic Relief Services and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. At CRS, she also created the Ministry Resource Center, a hub of videos and materials to support Catholic leaders in fostering global solidarity. Her written and video work has appeared with Our Sunday Visitor, Sadlier Publishing Company, Busted Halo, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Paulist Evangelization Ministries, Young Adult Ministry in a Box, and Millennial Journal, with America Magazine forthcoming.
Genevieve has a masters degree in organization and leadership from Saint Joseph’s University and a masters in theology from the University of Notre Dame through the Echo Faith Formation Leadership Program. Her bachelors degree is in the program of liberal studies (Great Books) from the University of Notre Dame. She is a certified Everything DiSC practitioner, trained in Liberating Structures facilitation methods, and currently training for International Coaching Federation certification. She lives with her family outside Washington, DC.
